Brilliant service! Needed a lock replaced after a snapped key in a French door. Andy was here less than an hour after my call. He also fixed and tightened the doors making them more efficient. Thanks so much! Highly recommend.

Andy responded quickly to our message and arrived when he said he would on Sunday to try to fix our door. Due to age and trickiness (we have had a few people to tend to it over the years)he had to return today. He arrived at the time he said he would and persevered patiently with our tricky door, replacing the lock mechanism and working on the door so that it opens better now than when it was first fitted a good few years ago. He was polite, profressional and clearly had a lot of knowledge. I definitely recommend him.

Explaining the frustration of locking keys in a van.

Locking your keys inside your van is one of the most frustrating experiences a driver can go through. It’s even more annoying when you’re in a hurry or have somewhere important to be. The worst part is that it can happen to anyone, regardless of how careful you are. If you haven’t experienced this before, count yourself lucky.

The feeling of dread and helplessness that comes with realizing that your keys are locked inside the van can be overwhelming. You’re stuck outside, looking at the very thing that holds everything you need for the day: your phone, wallet, and other essentials. And there’s no way to get in without those precious keys – well unless you want to break a window! It’s an experience that can cause panic and distress as you desperately search for a solution.

Common Causes:

Locking your keys inside your van is a common mistake that can happen to anyone, even the most careful of drivers. One of the main causes is forgetfulness, where you simply leave your keys inside the vehicle while rushing out or being distracted by something else. Another reason can be due to a malfunctioning lock system that fails to register that the key is still inside the car when you try to lock it via remote.

One solution is installing slam locks on your van doors. Slam locks are designed with an automatic locking mechanism when you close the door, ensuring that your vehicle stays locked every time you exit. This type of lock system eliminates human errors where you may accidentally leave your keys in the ignition or on a seat while getting out of the car, providing peace of mind for drivers who frequently forget their belongings in their vehicles.

Listing reasons for accidentally locking keys inside.

It’s a frustrating feeling to realize that you’ve locked your keys inside your van. But don’t worry, it’s a common occurrence and you’re not alone in this predicament. There are several reasons for locking your keys inside the van, such as being in a rush, forgetting to take them out of the ignition, or misplacing them. Whatever the reason may be, it can throw off your entire day.

One of the main reasons for locking your keys inside a van is simply forgetfulness. We’ve all been there – rushing out of the car without giving much thought to our surroundings. It’s easy to leave keys behind when we’re preoccupied with other thoughts or tasks at hand. Another reason could be due to distraction caused by kids, pets or mobile phones which prevent us from paying full attention while getting out of the vehicle.DIY Solutions:

Suggesting ways to retrieve keys without professional assistance.

Losing or misplacing your keys can be frustrating, but it’s even worse when you accidentally lock them in your vehicle. It’s a common problem that happens to the best of us, and the inconvenience can be overwhelming. However, there are ways to retrieve your keys without professional assistance.

Firstly, check if any windows are open or partially down. If there is an opening large enough for you to reach through, use a coat hanger or wire with a hook at the end to grab the keys and pull them out. Alternatively, try using a slim jim tool – this is a long flat metal strip that slides between the window and rubber seal on the door frame. With some practice, you can use it to unlock your car from inside.

If neither of those options work for you, consider calling someone who has access to another key or spare set of keys.
